The conference will be a virtual event, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Spiritually, it will take place in the city of Västerås, situated in the greater Stockholm region of Sweden.

The region around Lake Mälaren is the historic heartland of Sweden, with many remains from the Viking era and onwards. Today, it is a cultural, administrative, and industrial center, with the head offices of large industrial companies such as Ericsson, Scania, Electrolux, and Saab, as well as well being the home of a number of innovative unicorn IT startups, including Spotify, Mojang (developers of Minecraft), and Skype. It is also a science center, hosting a number of universities as well as the Nobel Prize.

June is one of the best times of the year to visit Sweden. Visitors can expect generally nice weather, with comfortable daytime temperatures typically around 20-25°C and mostly dry. Days are long, and it will be light outside from early morning to late in the evening.
